Fees & Payment

We are an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies.  Payment in full is required at each appointment.  Our office provides you with the documentation you need to request reimbursement from your insurer for any out-of-network benefits you have.

We accept cash, checks, PayPal, HSA cards, and major credit cards

Fees are indicated below.  Please note that due to the complicated nature of medical billing and coding, not all charges can be anticipated or described precisely in advance of the appointment.  The following figures are reliable estimates.

 Subsequent evaluation visits $225 (45 minutes)
Consultation or second opinion $375 (60 minutes)
Brief medication management $225 (15-20 minutes)
Psychotherapy $225 (45-55 minutes)
Extended (over 4 min) phone contact $4 per minute
Document preparation for a third party $.25

**Appointments Must Be Paid In Advance**

You will be asked to leave a confidential credit card on file that would be billed for services outside the office, like clinical phone calls.

We are considered an "out-of-network" provider for insurance.  This means that you pay the full amount at the time of service and may then submit a claim to your insurer.  If desired, we can give you a paper receipt after your appointment to submit to your insurer for your out-of-network benefits.  For more information, please contact our administrative staff at (803) 329-9894

*Cancellations & Missed Visits - Each appoint time is reserved exclusively for a specific patient.  Patients are asked to give 48 hours notice if they wish to change or cancel an appointment.  If you are unable to make the appointment and cannot give the required notice, the full appointment fee will be charged.  Insurance plans do not cover missed appointment fees; payment of these is the patient's responsibility.  Dr. Hartmeier is very sympathetic to the fact that situations arise in life that may make it difficult to come to an appointment or to give the required notice, but she is not able to make exceptions to this policy.  

Social Media & Networking - Psychiatric care works best when conducted within a safe, well-bounded setting.  As a matter of policy, Tega Cay Psychiatric staff does not interact with patients on social networking sites such as Facebook or LinkedIn.  Please don't be offended if your request to connect is declined.
